evanui μ, your ultimate omnidirectional Speaker

ViV laboratory will propose in Japan the evanui μ, an high-end luxury wooden omnidirectional speaker featuring the FDM technology (Floating Diaphragm Mechanism) sold at the end of this month, and more precisely for my birthday, April 30, for 210 000 Yen (1660€).

The evanui μ offer a maximum output of 100W with an impedance of 8Ω and work on 80Hz-30kHz frequencies.

Onkyo Unleashes a New Set of High-end Speakers for PC

Powered by Onkyo’s VL Digital technology this new set of PC speakers, GX-500HD, will hit Japan next week. Feature wise, they offer 2x40W, and work on a 50Hz to 100kHz.

A true all in one solution, the GX-500HD has an Optical In, Analog-In, and a Subwoofer Pre Out, only support 100V (50/60Hz), and will cost around 49,800 Yen (€380).

Victor JVC Japan introduced new set of speaker with the SX-L BK series which will be available at the beginning of March.

The SX-LC33BK is a two way speakers that comes with 2 x 14.5cm cone woofers, and 1.9cm tweeter. It provides a frequency range of 52Hz-80kHz, a sensitivity of 89dB, a crossover frequency of 4kHz, and an impedance of 6Ω. 73,500 Yens (630€).

The SX-LT55BK features 2x 14.5cm cone woofer, a 14.5cm Bottom Woofer and 1.9cm tweeter. These speakers provide a frequency range of 32Hz-80kHz, a sensitivity of 89.5dB, a crossover frequency of 100 Hz / 4kHz and an impedance of 6Ω. 147,000 Yens (1250€)

And lastly we have, the SX-L33BK, a two way speakers, which features 14.5cm woofer and 1.9cm tweeter. Our L33BK provides a frequency range of 55Hz-80kHz, a sensitivity of 87dB, a crossover frequency of 4 kHz and an impedance of 6Ω. 47,250 Yens (400€)

Pioneer Unveils New Sets of Speakers: The 8 Series

Pioneer Japan released new sets of speakers, the Series 8, which will be available at the end of October with prices from 650€ to 1300€.

The S-81C is a 3 way central speaker that comes with 2 x 13cm cone woofers, 13cm coaxial cone type unit, and 2.5cm tweeter. It provides a frequency range of 40Hz-50kHz, a sensitivity of 85.5dB (2.83V/1m), a crossover frequency of 370Hz, 3kHz, and an impedance of 6Ω.

The S-81B-LR features a 13cm cone woofer and 2.5cm tweeter. These bookshelf speakers provide a frequency range of 40Hz-50kHz, a sensitivity of 84.5dB (2.83V/1m), a crossover frequency of 2kHz, and an impedance of 6Ω.

Pioneer also introduced floorstanding speakers, the S-81 : 2 x 13cm cone woofers, a 13cm coaxial cone-type unit, 2.5cm tweeter. They provide a frequency range of 30Hz-100kHz, a sensitivity of 85.5dB (2.83V/1m), a crossover frequency of 370Hz, 3kHz, and an impedance of 6Ω.

TEAC Reference 380

TEAC introduced new Hifi systems, the Reference 380

TEAC Corporation unveiled, in Japan, HiFi System which features a CD player (PD-H380), AM/FM Tuner (TH-380), an Amplifier (A-H380), and Two Speakers (LS-H250).

About our Amplifier, the A-H380, provides a maximum power of 45Watts x 2 (6Ω, 1 kHz, 0.1%), a Signal-Noise Ratio of 100dB (IHF-A), a frequency response of 10Hz～65kHz and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of 0.1%. This amp also features 5 RCA inputs, 2 RCA Outputs, as well as an iPod dock Adaptor. It’s announced a price of 290€.

The CD player, the PD-H380, allows to play MP3/WMA files, as well as CD-R/RW. It features an USB port, and provides a frequency response of 20Hz-20,000kHz ±2.0dB, a Total Harmonic Distortion of 0.005% (1kHz, 0dB), a signal noise ratio of 120dB (1kHz, 0dB, A weight). 260€.

Our AM/FM Tuner provides 30 Presets. About the FM-Tuner specifications, it offers a frequency range of 76.0-90.0 MHz, a Signal ratio of 57dB (Stereo mode), and a THD of 0.50%. Concerning the AM-Tuner, it offers a frequency range of 522 kHz – 1629 kHz, a S/N ratio of 35dB and a THD of 1.5%. This Tuner will cost 160€.

Lastly, we have the speakers, the LS-H250, which offers a maximum power of 50W, with an impedance of 6Ω, a frequency response of 50Hz-20kHz, and a crossover frequency of 3kHz. The LS-H250 feature 130mm carbon woofer, and 25.4mm Tweeter. These speaker cost 105€ (Pair)

Fostex G2000: New High-End Speakers

Fostex Japan will release new High-End Magnesium Speakers at the end of July, the G2000. These speakers feature 2 200mm bass drivers, 100mm mid driver, and 25mm tweeter.

Otherwise, our G2000 provides a frequency response of 30Hz-35,000Hz, sound pressure sensitivity of 90dB/mW, a maximum permissible input of 150W and an impedance of 4Ω.

Available in two colors, Brown and Red, our speakers should cost around 3800€ each.
